Another UK publication seeking a sun-drenched location for a fashion shoot in 2011 was YOU Magazine, who called on the services of 365 Productions to assist in securing a spectacular Ibiza location when shooting the summer collections of Matalan, entitled ‘Chic in a Click’. The behind-the scenes team included photographer Gary Houlder, YOU’s fashion editor Caroline Baker and fashion assistant Phillippa Bloom plus producer Megan McCluskie and on-set producer Tracey Lee Thompson, proving it takes an army of people to create a shoot this good – it’s not as easy as it looks!
Gorgeous model Bex Fleetwood from Premier was given her sexy ’60s style beauty boost by expert make up artist Caroline Barnes from Frank Agency, using Max Factor to create sassy cat-eye liquid liner looks and a peaches and cream complexion. The look was completed with an OTT bouffant style by Choccy at onemakeup.com using the classic L’Oreal Elnett to keep its height and volume in the notorious Ibiza humidity.
Shot on location at hotel Royal Plaza Ibiza, the images revolved around a typical Ibiza holiday style scenario – by the pool, chilling out on sun loungers, lazing the day away and capturing it all on camera.
The result? The perfect Ibiza capsule wardrobe, a touch of bohemian style mixed with retro glamour and sexy prints – just pack and glow, as it says on the cover!
