‘I first came to Ibiza in 1995 when I was 15,’ says Corina Smith, one half of Ibiza make-up artist duo Smack Ibiza. ‘It was just after my GCSEs and there was a group of ten of us. I’ll never forget Manumission at Ku (as it was called then)… I knew then that I would eventually live here.’ Corina went on to become a make-up artist in London, but spent her summers escaping to the white isle and working for club nights like the aforementioned legendary Manumission.
‘In 2008 I came up with the concept of creating a professional, mobile make-up service on the island,’ she says of her ultimate decision to set up shop in Ibiza, a move that now sees her spending at least half of the year here, constantly developing and building up her now well-established and respected service that the island had previously been lacking.
‘Ibiza has done so much for me over the years that this is my way of giving something back to the island… The rest as they say is history!’
