Two front teeth? Got ‘em. A partridge in a pear tree? Not enough space in my apartment. Gold, frankincense and myrrh? Difficult to gift-wrap. Mistletoe and wine? Perhaps. A White Christmas? Well, now that you mention it… (more…)

The year-round Ibiza lifestyle is a tale of two seasons. The fast-paced, hectic, hedonistic glory days of summer, around four months in total, and the lengthy, lazy, chilled out winter months – yep, all eight of them (spring and autumn rarely rate a mention, despite putting in some pretty stellar performances!). (more…)
One of the many things I love about Halloween in Ibiza is that I feel like I can get away with saying and doing almost anything, because no one knows your identity! There’s something about being in costume – and indeed, in character – that gives you a sense of freedom and courage, though I guess all the cocktails consumed may have something to do with that too! (more…)
Here we are, almost at the end of October and the parties in Ibiza just keep on getting better! Seriously! Take El Chiringuito at Es Cavallet for example. Now that, my friends, is what an Ibiza closing party is all about… (more…)
A funny thing happened on the way to the Café Mambo closing…
You see, at the end of the season (and by this I mean post-DC10 closing party), you’d expect to be enjoying some quality downtime. A quiet night in with a DVD. Civilised dinners with friends. But no. Not this Saturday night. Why? Because not only was iconic sunset institution Café Mambo throwing their closing party, but the lovely folk from Rock Nights were also putting on a very special party at Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes Hotel! We’ve reached the end of yet another long, hot summer in Ibiza and as is island custom, rather than resting and relaxing, the majority of locals and a huge final influx of tourists saw it as cause to celebrate by going to a party or two. Or three. Or (ahem!) in the case of Miss W… four.
Well it would have been downright rude not to! (more…)
Let me tell you a little story about ten minutes of my life. Ten glorious minutes, perched on the edge of a railing, my eyes glued to the most beautiful creature I have ever laid eyes upon in my whole entire life (aside from my cats, clearly). Ten whole minutes where I didn’t once think about deadlines, diets, DJs, fashion, friends, shopping, sleeping, shoes, stress, money, make-up, music, beaches or even my boyfriend!
For these magical ten minutes of my life, I was mesmerised, completely under the spell of the one and only (major league drum roll please!) Dita Von Teese… (more…)
While most of the world’s stylistas were buzzing post-NYC and pre-London Fashion Week, Ibiza’s fashionistas were (as usual) buzzing around in their own unique fashion bubble, a place where it wasn’t so much about trends, key pieces, collections or who was sitting in the front row – rather, it was all about an event that could have potentially put the forthcoming Christie’s auction of Dame Elizabeth Taylor’s bling to shame.
Oh – and in case you weren’t in the bubble last weekend, I’m talking, of course, about the Pure Form ‘Art in Motion’ show at El Hotel on Saturday night! (more…)
Sunset and shopping. Two words that never fail to inspire me in Ibiza, so when they were combined for the first ‘In A Balearic State Of Fashion’ pop-up shopping event on the beautiful rooftop bar at Hotel Ocean Drive, I knew it was an occasion I couldn’t bear to miss! (more…)

Every summer for the past eight years, to celebrate the UK’s bank holiday in August, hot London private members’ club and swanky A-list nightspot Boujis jumps ship for the weekend, hitting Ibiza for a ‘pop-up party’ that literally has people begging for invitations or bragging about their hedonistic hijinks, depending on which side of the velvet rope they were on of course. (more…)
